The lawmakers involved &#8211; including Senators Elissa Slotkin and Mark Kelly and Representatives chris Deluzio, Maggie Goodlander, Chrissy Houlahan, and Jason Crow &#8211; all emphasized that service members have a legal duty to disobey unlawful orders. They have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/trump-administration\/judge-orders-trump-administration-conclude-national-guard-deployment-w-rcna245066\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">won some<\/a> cases, and the administration has complied with the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >lower court judicial directives<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/c201k3qky9lo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">appeal<\/a>, the president&rsquo;s authority to deploy the Guard in this way has been affirmed. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/newsom-suing-trump-eisenhower-jfk-bush-also-national-guard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Past presidents<\/a> like Dwight Eisenhower, John Kennedy, and George H.W. Bush have done so.<\/p>\n<p>The president responded to the Democrats&rsquo; video with several posts on , <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/115582417825161974\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">including<\/a> one that said, &ldquo;It&rsquo;s called SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Each one of these traitors to our Country should be ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL. Their words cannot be allowed to stand &mdash; We won&rsquo;t have a Country anymore!!! An example MUST BE SET.
