The tree, a Concolor fir selected by White House Superintendent of Grounds Dale Haney, will arrive at noon and be presented by Rex and Jessica Korson, owners of Korson&#8217;s Tree Farms.Their farm was chosen as the Grand Champion Grower this year by the National Christmas Tree Association, allowing them to provide the official White House tree.<\/p>\n<p>This marks the first time since 1985 that a Michigan-based farm has won this honor, and Michigan&#8217;s third win overall since the contest began in 1966. North Carolina holds the record for the moast wins wiht 16, followed by Pennsylvania with 11. Volunteers will also begin decorating the White House for the Christmas season on the same day the tree arrives, continuing through the week except for Thanksgiving day.
