Originally from Uzbekistan, Bozorov fled after an arrest warrant was issued there in 2022. He is accused of recruiting for an unnamed jihadist terrorist group and spreading its propaganda online.Bozorov crossed the U.S. southern border in February 2023, was apprehended, released, granted work authorization, and subsequently obtained a commercial driver&#8217;s license (CDL) in Pennsylvania in july. Homeland Security officials criticized the previous administration for failures that allowed Bozorov, a wanted terrorist, to enter the country and acquire a CDL. Pennsylvania&#8217;s Republican Party is demanding an investigation into how Bozorov was able to pass the licensing process. The <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >case highlights ongoing concerns<\/a> about lax enforcement of CDL regulations, especially regarding noncitizens. In a statement issued Tuesday, Chairman Greg Rothman demanded a &ldquo;full and immediate investigation&rdquo; into how Bozorov was granted a CDL in the commonwealth.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is not just a policy failure; this is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/joe-biden-rips-trump-for-doing-the-same-thing-the-obama-administration-did\/\" title=\"Joe Biden Rips Trump For Doing The Same Thing The Obama Administration Did\">national security breach<\/a> right here in Pennsylvania,&rdquo; he said.&nbsp;&ldquo;How in the world did someone with terrorist ties pass every check to get behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler in our state? And a Real ID at that? The people who signed off on this need to be found, fired, and Governor Shapiro must answer for this.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Bozorov&rsquo;s case is just the latest in a string of arrests that underscore the trucking industry&rsquo;s growing concern over the lackadaisical enforcement of licensing rules that require drivers to pass the test in written English.<\/p>\n<p>In October, Homeland Security arrested Anmol Anmol, who was issued a New York commercial driver&rsquo;s license under the name &ldquo;No Name Given Anmol.&rdquo; U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents discovered his status during a highway inspection in Oklahoma, where he was taken into custody and placed in removal proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>A month earlier, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fmcsa.dot.gov\/newsroom\/interim-final-ruling-restoring-integrity-issuance-non-domiciled-drivers-licenses-cdl\">ordered states to pause the issuance<\/a>&nbsp;of nondomiciled CDLs to drivers on temporary visas, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/new-hampshire-liquor-stores-to-sell-cannabis-under-new-legalization-plan\/\" title=\"New Hampshire Liquor Stores to Sell Cannabis Under New Legalization Plan\">citing public safety concerns<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/immigration\/3890516\/duffy-challenge-court-ruling-blocking-new-regulations-noncitizens-obtaining-commerical-drivers-licenses\/\">DUFFY VOWS TO CHALLENGE COURT BLOCKING REGULATIONS ON COMMERCIAL DRIVER&rsquo;S LICENSES<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The rule came too late for three people killed in a crash on the Florida turnpike when an 18-wheeler driven by Harjinder Singh made an illegal U-turn on the divided highway.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dhs.gov\/news\/2025\/08\/18\/criminal-illegal-alien-recklessly-driving-18-wheeler-kills-three-florida\">Homeland Security<\/a>&nbsp;said Singh does not have a legal right to be in the United States and obtained a commercial driver&rsquo;s license in California.
