This designation enables increased surveillance of these groups and prohibits them from purchasing or acquiring land in Texas. Abbott accused these organizations of seeking to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-lefts-continuous-revolution-and-the-worship-of-revolutionaries\/\" title=\"Embracing Change: The Left&#039;s Ongoing Revolution and Admiration for Revolutionaries\">impose sharia law<\/a> and establish Islamic dominance, actions he claims undermine U.S. laws through violence and intimidation. Abbott has also encouraged texans to report anyone attempting to impose sharia compliance. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/gov.texas.gov\/news\/post\/governor-abbott-designates-muslim-brotherhood-cair-as-foreign-terrorist-organizations\">Abbott said<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Right-wing politicians widely criticize sharia law for its discrimination against women and other religions, requirement of male guardianship, limited divorce and custody rights, unequal inheritance rights, low age of consent, cruel and unusual punishment, suppressed freedom of expression, genital mutilation surgeries, and contradictions to many amendments in the U.S. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/constitution\/\">Constitution<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The actions taken by the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR to support <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/terrorism\/\">terrorism<\/a> across the globe and subvert our laws through violence, intimidation, and harassment are unacceptable,&rdquo; the governor added. &ldquo;These radical extremists are not welcome in our state and are now prohibited from acquiring any real property interest in Texas.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The governor&rsquo;s declaration adds to his list of efforts to push back on the advancement of sharia law in Texas.&nbsp;In September, Abbot spoke out against a member of CAIR who coerced Muslim-owned businesses in Houston to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exclusive-roy-bill-would-let-ice-deport-adherents-of-sharia-law\/\" title=\"Exclusive: Roy Bill Would Let ICE Deport Adherents Of ...\">follow sharia law<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;To be clear, Texas law and Texas courts govern those businesses and those neighborhoods,&rdquo; Abbott said. &ldquo;<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/cairhouston.com\/project\/greg-abbott-calls-out-houston-imam-as-gop-goes-all-in-on-targeting-sharia-law\/\">No ranting imam can change that<\/a>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>After the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/department-of-justice\/\">Department of Justice<\/a> and top state officials investigated a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/senate\/3379104\/cornyn-asks-doj-investigate-proposed-muslim-focused-community\/\">North Texas housing development<\/a> known as <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/crime\/3408146\/greg-abbott-halts-contruction-epic-city-muslim-community-texas-doj-investigation\/\">EPIC City<\/a>, Abbott signed Texas House Bill 4211 into law, which blocked developers from &ldquo;creating sharia compounds and endangering Texans.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >governor defined sharia law<\/a> as a religious framework that requires people &ldquo;to comply with either the rules of sharia, the rules of Islam, [or] the rules of a local mosque.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>He then added that the only thing Texans should comply with is the &ldquo;Texas Constitution,&rdquo; which &ldquo;prohibits discrimination on the basis of religion &mdash; period.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/GregAbbott_TX\/status\/1965173662262448320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">social media post<\/a>, the governor urged his followers to report &ldquo;ANYONE&rdquo; who &ldquo;attempts to impose Sharia compliance&rdquo; to law enforcement.<\/p>\n<p><b><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/immigration\/3889621\/chip-roy-floats-bill-freeze-immigration\/\">CHIP ROY FLOATS BILL TO FREEZE IMMIGRATION UNTIL H1-B VISAS AND BIRTH CITIZENSHIP ARE &lsquo;DEALT WITH&rsquo;<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>The governor&rsquo;s proclamation adds to nationwide efforts by other Republican lawmakers, such as Rep. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/chip-roy\/\">Chip Roy<\/a> (TX), Sen. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/tommy-tuberville\/\">Tommy Tuberville<\/a> (AL), and Sen. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/senate\/3491678\/cair-tom-cotton-irs-investigate-tax-exempt-muslim-group-terrorist-ties\/\">Tom Cotton<\/a> (AR), to voice and introduce legislation addressing the growing concerns over the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/3472855\/brothers-in-arms-muslim-brotherhood-european-union-france\/\">advancement of sharia law<\/a> in the United States.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Left-wing politicians have equated the lawmakers&rsquo;
