And I&rsquo;ll tell you right now, the wins we are getting are historic.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Cruz said he wrote &ldquo;major portions&rdquo; of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which Trump<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3462467\/winners-losers-big-beautiful-bill\/\"> signed into law <\/a>on July 4. He said &ldquo;the two victories&rdquo; he is most proud of regarding the bill are school choice and &ldquo;<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3465579\/what-are-trump-accounts-government-launches-baby-bonus\/\">the Trump accounts<\/a>,&rdquo; the latter of which opened the door to investment accounts for newborns.<\/p>\n<p>The report on Cruz&rsquo;s possible 2028 run suggests the senator will lean into his feud with commentator Tucker Carlson, who created a split among conservatives after interviewing white nationalist Nick Fuentes. Cruz<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/foreign-policy\/3866449\/christian-zionists-ted-cruz-others-respond-tucker-carlson-call-out\/\"> defended <\/a>U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee from Carlson&rsquo;s criticism of him, adding that it&rsquo;s &ldquo;sad&rdquo; to see Carlson &ldquo;turn into Nick Fuentes.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In June, an interview between Cruz and Carlson turned heated when the pair debated regime change in Iran, among other topics. Mitt Romney also speculated in December 2024 that Vance will be the Republican Party&rsquo;s next <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/senate\/3262812\/mitt-romney-who-2028-gop-nominee-will-be\/\">presidential nominee<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/house\/3888688\/mtg-trump-maga-movement-epstein-israel\/\">Marjorie Taylor Greene<\/a> (R-GA) denied that <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3877204\/mtg-denies-reports-2028-presidential-run\/\">she is considering a 2028 White House run<\/a> earlier this month.
