because authorities refused to honor detainers from Immigration Customs and Enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>As Operation Charlotte&rsquo;s Web unfolded over the weekend, Bovino <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CMDROpAtLargeCA\/status\/1990041914641686934?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">posted<\/a> pictures to X of illegal immigrants with <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CMDROpAtLargeCA\/status\/1990073456403046786?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">violent<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CMDROpAtLargeCA\/status\/1990154573156434411?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">criminal<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CMDROpAtLargeCA\/status\/1990216356097298567?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">histories<\/a> being arrested.<\/p>\n<p>Democratic North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein appeared to criticize the then-impending operation in a Friday <a href=\"https:\/\/governor.nc.gov\/news\/press-releases\/2025\/11\/14\/statement-governor-josh-stein-border-patrol-north-carolina\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We should all focus on arresting violent criminals and drug traffickers. White, criticized the Department of Homeland Security&rsquo;s decision to name the operation after her grandfather&rsquo;s book.
