He has <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2021\/03\/05\/eric-swalwell-lawsuit-trump-capitol-riot\">sued<\/a> the president over his actions leading up to the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/january-6\/\">Jan. 6, 2021<\/a>, Capitol riot.<\/p>\n<p>Pulte previously sent criminal referrals to the DOJ for two other prominent Democratic critics of Trump: New York Attorney General <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/letitia-james\/\">Letitia James<\/a> and Sen. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/adam-schiff\/\">Adam Schiff<\/a> (CA). He also criminally referred <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/lisa-cook\/\">Lisa Cook<\/a>, a Federal Reserve governor, to the DOJ. All three have denied wrongdoing.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Like <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/james-comey\/\">James Comey<\/a> and <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/john-bolton\/\">John Bolton<\/a>, Adam Schiff and Lisa Cook, Letitia James and the dozens more to come &mdash; I refuse to live in fear in what was once the freest country in the world,&rdquo; Swalwell said, listing other targets of the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/trump-administration\/\">Trump administration<\/a>. &ldquo;Of course, I will not end my lawsuit against him. Be Better,&rdquo; Swalwell added.<\/p>\n<p>Swalwell has been a frequent target of Republicans, claiming that he had ties to a suspected Chinese spy and was compromised by a foreign intelligence agency.
