Jerrold Nadler and Jack Schlossberg.<\/p>\n<p>Nadler, 78, is retiring from Congress at the end of this term. Say what you will about the man &mdash; I certainly do &mdash; but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/democratic-rep-jerry-nadler-gets-charlie-kirks-name-wrong-claiming-know-wanted\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">at least his craziness<\/a> is within the normal range of crazy Democrat behavior.<\/p>\n<p>Schlossberg, 32, became the instant favorite to take Nadler&rsquo;s seat when he announced on Tuesday that he was running for the seat in the New York City district Nadler currently occupies. That&rsquo;s because of his family legacy &mdash; his mom is Caroline Kennedy, making him <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fbi-finds-14000-new-pages-jfk-assassination-never-provided-1992-review-board\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JFK&rsquo;s<\/a> grandson.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/11\/11\/nyregion\/jack-schlossberg-congress-run.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York<\/a> Times, in a relatively kind piece covering the announcement of his candidacy, called him &ldquo;a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >social-media political commentator<\/a> and provocateur&rdquo; and &ldquo;a relative newcomer to politics&rdquo; who &ldquo;has been especially critical &mdash; at times viciously so &mdash; of his cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Or, to be blunter than the Times was, he&rsquo;s a man who &mdash; until he entered serious politics &mdash; was, quite recently, mocking RFK Jr. by saying a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pepsico-announces-maha-makeovers-doritos-cheetos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Make America Healthy Again<\/a> &ldquo;energy ball&rdquo; he said. Antisemite as well. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/b7INJihHvV\">pic.twitter.com\/b7INJihHvV<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Scarlett Evans&#127482;&#127480; (@AresofRome) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AresofRome\/status\/1988625438944448567?\">November 12, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>To be as fair as possible to Schlossberg, who is Jewish on his father&rsquo;s side, the &ldquo;Jew blood&rdquo; reference seems to be in reference to an RFK Jr. comment that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kennedy-family-put-blast-treating-rfk-jr-mark-totalitarian-systems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ashkenazi Jews<\/a> were less susceptible to COVID-19 than many other ethnic groups.<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s also something that RFK Jr. got roasted for when he said it in good faith; using the phrase &ldquo;Jew blood&rdquo; while trolling your cousin on social media is generally considered less acceptable.<\/p>\n<p>At least he finally got some sense knocked into him by reality, although not enough to apologize. After what <a href=\"https:\/\/www.townandcountrymag.com\/society\/tradition\/a63692260\/jack-schlossberg-deletes-social-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Town &amp; Country Magazine<\/a> called (again with unusual kind restraint, even for that publication) &ldquo;multiple erratic, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/media-shocked-gina-carano-fought-back-as-her-movie-deal-with-daily-wire-goes-viral\/\" title=\"Media Shocked Gina Carano Fought Back As Her Movie Deal With Daily Wire Goes Viral\">offensive posts<\/a>,&rdquo; he deleted his socials back in February.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I&rsquo;m sorry to everyone I hurt. I was wrong. I&rsquo;m deleting all my social media. Forever. It&rsquo;s been fun. Thanks anyways everyone,&rdquo; he wrote on X.<\/p>\n<p>So basically, this guy is known for being 1) a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/newsom-suing-trump-eisenhower-jfk-bush-also-national-guard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kennedy<\/a> and 2) a less-talented <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dog-abusing-left-wing-streamer-regrets-usa-won-cold-war\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hasan Piker<\/a>. (I just gagged typing those words out.) That&rsquo;s it. And he&rsquo;s the best-known Democrat vying for the prized New York City district.<\/p>\n<p>Nadler is unlikely to back him, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/11\/11\/style\/jack-schlossberg-congress-kennedy-family.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Times<\/a> noting that his endorsement is probably going to go to state Assemblyman Micah Lasher, widely considered Nadler&rsquo;s prot&eacute;g&eacute;. As for Schlossberg, Nadler was dismissive, saying that his seat should go to a person &ldquo;with a record of public service, a record of public accomplishment &mdash; and he doesn&rsquo;t have one.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>But therein lies the problem: The seat is in a city that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/republican-nyc-councilwoman-moves-call-mamdanis-bluff-first-day-office-hosting-netanyahu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">just elected a mayor<\/a> who doesn&rsquo;t have &ldquo;a record of public service, a record of public accomplishment&rdquo; aside from minor duty in the state Assembly, hating Jews, and generally being a social media nuisance.<\/p>\n<p>Schlossberg fits in perfectly for that demographic &mdash; and he&rsquo;s two years younger than Zohran Mamdani, even! One can imagine the two getting along swimmingly. They can even trade &ldquo;Jew blood&rdquo; recipes on the campaign trail.<\/p>\n<p>Nor is this the only instance of the old guard giving way to a younger generation that seems loosed from Arkham Asylum. On the other end of the continent, the frontrunner to replace former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi when she retires is Scott Wiener, a state lawmaker who&rsquo;ll stop at nothing to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/new-bill-punishes-parents-refuse-affirm-childs-gender-risk-losing-custody-kids\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trans your kid<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dem-scott-weiners-pro-trans-bill-virtually-guaranteed-minors-stay-street-sex-trafficking-even-cops-saw-lingerie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">keep minors in sex trafficking<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/desantis-shreds-leftist-senator-debunks-book-ban-conspiracy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spread blatant misinformation<\/a> about Republican &ldquo;book bans.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>That&rsquo;s effectively his brand &mdash; and he&rsquo;s arguably better prepared and more stable than Schlossberg.
