During fiscal 2025, which ended Sept. 30, the federal government took in $215.2 billion from tariffs, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/politics\/trump-calls-tariff-opponents-fools-promises-2000-dividend-payments-americans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox Business<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Since fiscal year 2026 began Oct. 1, $35.9 billion in tariffs has been collected.<\/p>\n<p>As noted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/live\/2025\/11\/05\/us\/trump-tariffs-supreme-court\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a>, raising revenue is within the purview of Congress.<\/p>\n<p class=\"live-blog-post-content css-ei0myh evys1bk0\">Solicitor General D.
