This directive follows a Supreme Court ruling that temporarily stayed a lower court&#8217;s order mandating the administration to release full SNAP benefits amid a government shutdown. Accordingly, States must immediately undo any steps taken to issue full SNAP benefits for November 2025,&rdquo; the USDA memo reads.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The legal battle over SNAP, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-american-families-plan-is-far-from-a-new-deal-economic-boon\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s \u2018American Families Plan\u2019 Is Far From a New Deal Economic Boon\">federal welfare program<\/a>, sparked last month when the government shut down.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The shutdown affected SNAP payments sent out monthly to millions of beneficiaries, leading to a slew of Democratic-led states joining lawsuits challenging the Trump administration for not issuing full welfare payments.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;On Oct. 31, U.S. District Judge John McConnell<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3871040\/judge-rules-trump-administration-must-release-emergency-snap-funds\/\"> ordered the USDA<\/a> to deliver SNAP payments by tapping into federal emergency funding.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Trump administration<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/3872884\/trump-administration-reduced-snap-benefits-emergency-funds\/\"> agreed to tap into<\/a> one of the USDA&rsquo;s emergency reserves, but said doing so would allow the government to send out only half-payments to beneficiaries for their November food stamps, even after fully depleting the fund.<\/p>\n<p>McConnell said the plan for partial payments was unacceptable.
