This over half-century streak was broken on Tuesday, with well over three million voters, with 1.7 million going to Democrat Mikie Sherrill.<\/p>\n<p>While the shocking figures sparked a flurry of conspiracy theories and accusations that the Democrats had rigged the election, other analysts pinned the surge in turnout on an increasingly politicized climate in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It&rsquo;s interesting that both parties are doing better at getting registered voters to turn out for them, and that perhaps speaks to the increasing importance of elections, due to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/study-from-former-treasury-secretary-finds-inflation-is-much-worse-than-the-government-claims\/\" title=\"Study From Former Treasury Secretary Finds Inflation Is Much Worse Than The Government Claims\">long-running trend<\/a> of increasing government involvement in both culture and the economy,&rdquo; Maxim Lott, a former executive producer for John Stossel, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/electionbetting.substack.com\/p\/election-betting-odds-react-to-the\">wrote<\/a> in an analysis on Substack.<\/p>\n<p>Not all conspiracy theories from Republicans were directed at New Jersey Democrats, however. Conservative activist Mike Crispi <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MikeCrispi\/status\/1986622008004665843?s=20\">pointed the finger<\/a> at other Republicans, alleging sabotage from old guard Republican establishment figures, mainly what he called the &ldquo;Chris Christie faction.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>One major target was Morris Republican Party Chairwoman Laura Ali.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;She reportedly bragged about &lsquo;throwing out Jack campaign materials, canceling Morris GOTV events for Jack, and encouraged people to write in John Bramnick&rsquo; (a Christie ally),&rdquo; Crispi wrote.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/state\/3877082\/new-jersey-election-turnout-anti-trump-motivation\/\">NEW JERSEY ELECTION POST-MORTEM: WHAT CAUSED CIATTARELLI AND OTHER GOP LOSSES?<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Examples like his happened in MULTIPLE counties.
