being the adults in the room &ndash; which so many centrist and independent voters relied on during the Trump years as the last bastion of sanity and moderation in U.S. politics.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>That kind of smug, self-satisfied language in reference to the Democrat establishment &mdash; types and fewer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mamdani-victory-desantis-makes-nypd-officers-offer-cant-refuse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mamdanis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;At a moment when so many Americans just want an off-ramp from hyper-polarization and economic uncertainty, Mamdani represents not a solution but an escalation,&rdquo; Griffing wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the liberal British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) expressed similar concerns.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;[C]ritics,&rdquo; the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/cly4kr8gzr2o\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BBC<\/a> wrote, &ldquo;have warned that such a candidate [as Mamdani] is unelectable in broad swathes of America &ndash; and Republicans have gleefully held the self-avowed democratic socialist up as the far-left face of the Democratic Party.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, BBC also noted that Mamdani will lack authority to implement his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/power-will-mamdani-actually-implement-socialist-agenda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">socialist policies<\/a> on his own.<\/p>\n<p>Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul of New York, for instance, has expressed opposition to the tax hikes Mamdani&rsquo;s agenda would require.<\/p>\n<p>On balance, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trend-holds-trump-up-by-2-points-over-harris-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Trend holds: Trump up by 2 points over Harris - Washington Examiner\">liberal media&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s anxieties seem justified.<\/p>\n<p>As we <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mamdani-interview-ended-staffer-reporter-asks-uncomfortable-question\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">noted<\/a> on Thursday, Mamdani&rsquo;s victory guarantees nothing for Democrats in the 2026 midterm elections.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, we might go further and conclude that Mamdani represents a boon to Republicans no matter what he does.<\/p>\n<p>In short, if Mamdani gets his wish and implements his preferred policies, he will destroy New York City&rsquo;s economy.
