He has served as the chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia since March 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Boasberg&rsquo;s latest turn in the spotlight stems from the revelation that he was the judge who approved subpoenas related to the FBI&rsquo;s &ldquo;Arctic Frost&rdquo; probe, which grew into now-former special counsel Jack Smith&rsquo;s investigation of now-President Donald Trump for allegedly interfering with the results of the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>Smith obtained Boasberg-approved subpoenas that allowed him to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/confirmed-160-republicans-targeted-biden-dojs-arctic-frost-witch-hunt-house-judiciary-committee-drops-bomb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">monitor the phone records<\/a> of Republican lawmakers, as well as Republican Party officials around the country.<\/p>\n<p>And as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/trump-foe-boasberg-hit-articles-impeachment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a> reported Tuesday, Boasberg also signed off on gag orders that aimed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/time-switch-cell-carriers-report-sheds-light-didnt-comply-arctic-frost\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >prevent phone carriers<\/a><\/a> from informing their customers about the government scrutiny.<\/p>\n<p>One of the lawmakers targeted, outspoken conservative Sen. His lack of integrity makes him clearly unfit for the gavel. I am proud to once again introduce articles of impeachment against Judge Boasberg to hold him accountable for his high crimes and misdemeanors.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s the second time Gill has filed a motion to have Boasberg removed from the bench. The first was in March, when Boasberg infamously ordered planes carrying deported members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua to turn around in mid-flight and return the illegal aliens to American soil.<\/p>\n<p>It was an order that was ignored, which infuriated Boasberg, who indicated he could hold the administration <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/judge-boasberg-laying-foundation-hold-trump-administration-contempt-court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in contempt of court<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately for the Trump administration and its deportation process, Boasberg was overturned by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/federal-appeals-court-overturns-judge-boasberg-massive-immigration-win-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">federal appeals court<\/a> in a 2-1 vote, with one of the appellate judges slamming Boasberg&rsquo;s behavior.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/federal-appeals-court-hands-texas-a-major-border-win-over-the-biden-administration\/\" title=\"...
