County officials suspect the issue arose because election workers may have mistakenly used a primary election poll book, which only includes registered Republicans and democrats, instead of one for the general election.Chester County has over 385,000 registered voters, with roughly 75,000 belonging to smaller parties or unaffiliated. Authorities are working to supply supplemental poll books to polling places to correct the problem. Voters affected are allowed to vote provisionally while the county resolves the issue. The election also includes retention votes for state Supreme Court justices, local county races such as coroner and school board, and other races.Chester County Voter Services has publicly acknowledged the situation and is actively addressing it.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Some 75,000 registered voters walking into polling places in Chester County, Pennsylvania will not find their name in the polling book.<\/p>\n<p>The names of registered Republicans and Democrats appear, but the independent and unaffiliated voters did not make the book. It means they all must cast provisional ballots for now. The county is working on the problem. <\/p>\n<figure><figcaption>\n<div>\n<p>         <span>Image Credit<\/span>Screen Shot       <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Chester County Voter Services posted on its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chesco.org\/156\/Voter-Services\">website<\/a> a bold, red-letter message at the top of its website, &ldquo;We are working to get supplemental poll books to every polling place. Until that time, any <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/in-nevada-a-corrupt-cash-for-votes-scheme-is-hiding-in-plain-sight\/\" title=\"In Nevada, A Corrupt Cash-For-...s Scheme Is Hiding In Plain Sight\">registered voter<\/a> who is not listed in the pollbook can vote provisionally.&rdquo; &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But if the county ends up using two poll books at all its polling places, one it started the morning with and the other that includes the missing voters, it is going to be tough to reconcile the number of voters to ballots cast at the end of the day. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Pennsylvania asks voters to show identification only the first time they vote at a new polling place. Voters then sign a poll book. The next time they vote, no ID is needed. Instead, voters sign next to last year&rsquo;s signature, which poll workers find in the poll book. In this case, they do not appear in the poll books at all.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear how it happened. One theory is that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/georgia-secretary-of-state-partially-bends-the-knee-acknowledges-ballots-were-counted-unlawfully-and-in-secret\/\" title=\"Georgia Secretary of State Partially Bends The Knee, Acknowledges \u2018Ballots Were Counted Unlawfully And In Secret\u2019\">county election workers<\/a> may have used a primacy poll book for the general election.<\/p>\n<p>  In Pennsylvania, just registered Republicans and Democrats vote in the primary election, and only for members of their own party. Independent and unaffiliated voters vote in the general election. This is a general election so their names should appear in the poll books.<\/p>\n<p>Without the unpredictable unaffiliated and independent voters, Chester County leans blue, with 158,475 registered Democrats and 152,085 registered Republicans. Democrats have 6,363 more registered voters. The county has 385,575 total registered voters and of those, 75,015 are members of a smaller party or not affiliated with any party, according to Nov. 3, Pennsylvania <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pa.gov\/agencies\/dos\/resources\/voting-and-elections-resources\/voting-and-election-statistics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Department of State<\/a> data. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure>\n<p><span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<div lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>*** CHESTER COUNTY VOTER ALERT ***<\/p>\n<p>We have been made aware that Independent voters were not included in the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >poll books countywide today<\/a>, and we have escalated this issue through our Solicitor to the highest levels.
