The FBI foiled the attack before it could occur. The charges involve receiving, transferring, and conspiring to transfer firearms and ammunition to commit terrorism. Several suspects were initially detained in Dearborn and Inkster, Michigan, with three remaining in custody. FBI Director Kash Patel praised the efforts to stop the potential attack, which was linked to international terrorism. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and former President Donald Trump acknowledged and supported the FBI&#8217;s actions. This is what defending the homeland looks like &mdash; vigilance saves lives.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Law enforcement initially detained at least five suspects, two of whom were released after being questioned. The other three remain in custody.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects were apprehended in Dearborn, a city with the highest concentration of Arab Americans in the United States, and nearby Inkster.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI has revealed few details of the foiled terror attack since Friday, but according to federal authorities, it was expected to take place over the holiday weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Gov. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/gretchen-whitmer\/\">Gretchen Whitmer<\/a> (D-MI) was among those <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/GovWhitmer\/status\/1984288331967168803\">who thanked<\/a> the FBI and Michigan State Police for their swift action to thwart the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/canadian-police-arrest-terror-suspect-who-was-allegedly-planning-attacks-against-jews-reports\/\" title=\"Canadian police arrest terror suspect accused of planning attacks against Jews\">alleged terror plot<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>President <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\">Donald Trump<\/a> also weighed in on the news, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=MG505OiJUOE\">boasting that his administration<\/a> is &ldquo;catching people before they ever start.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/revealed-ray-epps-claimed-he-believed-capitol-was-open-to-public-on-january-6\/\" title=\"Revealed!
