Concha notes that Newsom clearly does not have a favorable opinion of Harris and believes Newsom is steadfast to secure the nomination for himself. The rivalry could also include other candidates like Alexandria Ocasio-cortez, according to Concha.<\/p>\n<p>Concha references Harris&#8217;s book *107 Days*, which describes her reaching out to Newsom for endorsement after President Joe Biden decided not to run for re-election. Harris claims Newsom initially delayed his response, but Newsom stated in an interview that he endorsed her shortly after the text exchange. And in the end, I think he now sees her as a possible rival for the nomination, the Democratic nomination in 2028 which he wants to be president more than anything in the world. Harris alleged she received a text response from Newsom that he was hiking at the moment and would talk to her later.<\/p>\n<p>Newsom commented on the excerpt in a Sunday interview on NBC News&rsquo;s <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/meet-the-press\/meet-press-november-2-2025-n1312968\"><em>Meet the Press<\/em><\/a><em>. <\/em>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/s-d-gov-noem-blames-government-policies-for-economic-damage-during-pandemic\/\" title=\"S.D. Gov. Noem blames government policies for economic damage during pandemic\">governor explained<\/a> that he offered his endorsement that same day.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I sent out an endorsement a few minutes after that [text]. I was one of her first endorsements, the reason she was calling,&rdquo; Newsom said. &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve known Kamala all my life. The last person she needs to reach out to is me. So I don&rsquo;t know why that was even in the book.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Concha pointed out that Newsom appeared at &ldquo;zero&rdquo; rallies on Harris&rsquo;s behalf during her 107-day campaign. Still, Harris was <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/congressional\/3871917\/newsom-harris-rally-proposition-50-special-election\/\">at a rally with Newsom<\/a> last week to support Proposition 50, an effort to redistrict her home state of California. When it comes to successful 2028 candidates, Concha predicted voters &ldquo;will not elect an elite liberal California liberal whom they simply cannot relate to.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t think Newsom or Kamala Harris is the answer here as far as being the nominee. It&rsquo;s got to be somebody from the middle, a moderate, an Andy Beshear type,&rdquo; Concha said. &ldquo;I have a feeling this party has gone so far to the left that that just is not going to happen.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/in_focus\/3871426\/shapeshifter-newsom-takes-pandering-to-laughable-level-with-claim-of-growing-up-poor\/\"><strong>SHAPESHIFTER NEWSOM TAKES PANDERING TO LAUGHABLE LEVEL WITH CLAIM OF GROWING UP POOR<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Newsom began touring the country. During a stop in South Carolina, Rep.
