The results come from an <em>Atlanta Journal-Constitution<\/em> <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ajc.com\/politics\/2025\/10\/senate-poll-ossoff-riding-high-in-georgia-maga-firebrand-leads-gop-field\/\">poll<\/a> of 1,000 likely Republican voters in the Peach State, conducted from Oct. 15 through Oct. 23.<\/p>\n<p>In a memo responding to the early poll, Collins&rsquo;s campaign said he &ldquo;has the clearest path to victory&rdquo; and called on his GOP opponents to consider clearing the field to avoid a heated primary.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Republicans must decide whether to subject themselves to a bruising primary process that will leave us weakened and at a massive cash disadvantage to Democrat incumbent Jon Ossoff or to begin unifying and preparing for what will be one of the most expensive and competitive elections next cycle,&rdquo; the Collins campaign&rsquo;s <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CollinsPressGA\/status\/1984252622585671816\">memo<\/a> said.<\/p>\n<p>However, early into the race, both Carter and Dooley show <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DerekDooleyGA\/status\/1984265776170471807\">no signs of slowing down<\/a>, each discussing shutdown politics and hammering Ossoff for voting in the Democratic bloc.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Yard signs are up across Georgia! Momentum is building, and we&rsquo;re just getting started,&rdquo; Carter <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Buddy_Carter\/status\/1983633463078219785\">posted on X<\/a> this week.<\/p>\n<p>A <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/congressional\/3838179\/collins-dooley-toe-to-toe-georgia-senate-fundraising-battle\/\">September poll <\/a>of 624 likely Georgia <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/2026-elections\/\">general election<\/a> voters found that in hypothetical head-to-head matchups with Ossoff, Collins is tied with the democratic senator at 38%, Carter trails Ossoff 40% to 37%, and Dooley trails him 42% to 35%. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1s_XyIo0Rre1TGtVisHKu9hW3S4yEvxRl\/view\">Quantus Insights<\/a> sponsored the survey.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/congressional\/3838179\/collins-dooley-toe-to-toe-georgia-senate-fundraising-battle\/\">COLLINS AND DOOLEY GO TOE-TO-TOE IN GEORGIA SENATE FUNDRAISING BATTLE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The three GOP candidates are still vying for President <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\">Donald Trump&rsquo;s<\/a> endorsement, each pitching themselves as aligned with his agenda and willing and able to go to bat for it in the Senate. However, the president has not yet put his thumb on the scale.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;A lot of good people in that field. I know all of them, actually.
