While not named in the report, Gary Coby became Trump&rsquo;s digital director in January 2019, and served in that role throughout the campaign season.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The FBI report said it saw a correlation between the amounts of money the campaign official received through AMMC and the increased spending at casinos.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This assessment is based on the timing of the formation of AMMC and the sudden increase in gambling at casinos by [redacted] that followed,&rdquo; the intelligence report read.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI drafters of the report recommended further actions toward opening &ldquo;a predicated investigation into Federal election crimes,&rdquo; although they admitted their assessment that a crime occurred was of &ldquo;low confidence.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Just the News noted the FBI investigation into AMMC appeared to have been launched as a result of a watchdog group accusing the company of being used as a &ldquo;pass-through&rdquo; by the Trump campaign to obscure the nature of payments being made.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The watchdog, the Campaign Legal Center, a non-partisan 501(c)3 charity, accused the campaign of obscuring about $170 million worth of campaign spending through pass-through vendors, like AMMC, <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/trump-campaign-accused-pass-vendors-obscure-170-million\/story?id=72020510\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ABC News reported<\/a> at the time.
