Anderson<\/h2>\n<p>In<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/virginiamercury.com\/2025\/10\/09\/house-district-97-anchored-in-virginia-beach-could-determine-party-majority-in-house-of-delegates\/\"> <strong>District 97<\/strong><\/a>, Democrat incumbent Del. Michael Feggans is facing former Del. Tim Anderson, a Republican attorney who represented western Virginia Beach and part of Norfolk&rsquo;s Ocean View area from 2022-23.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Feggans, a 20-year Air Force veteran, flipped the seat blue in 2023. The swing district narrowly went for Harris during the 2024 election after Youngkin won it by 50.6%.<\/p>\n<p>This year, in terms of fundraising, Feggans was ahead with over $627,000 as of the end of August, compared to Anderson&rsquo;s nearly $385,000.<\/p>\n<p>District 97 &ldquo;is going to be the road to the majority,&rdquo; Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) said during a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pilotonline.com\/2025\/09\/30\/virginia-beach-house-of-delegates-district-97\/\">recent Republican fundraiser<\/a>. &ldquo;That&rsquo;s the 50th seat right there&hellip;That&rsquo;s going to be the seat that changes everything.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-district-89-carnegie-v-lamonea\">District 89: Carnegie v. Lamonea<\/h2>\n<p>In <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pilotonline.com\/2025\/06\/17\/election-results-virginia-house-district-89-primary\/\"><strong>District 89<\/strong><\/a>, Democrat attorney Karen Carnegie will face GOP candidate Mike Lamonea, a current Chesapeake School Board member and retired special agent with ICE Homeland Security Investigations. The seat is open after Republican incumbent Baxter Ennis declined to seek reelection.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Carnegie holds a fundraising advantage in the district, which Harris narrowly won last year, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/augustafreepress.com\/news\/the-20-maga-house-seats-that-democrats-could-flip-in-2025-cycle\/\">according to <\/a>the <em>Augusta Free Press<\/em>. Ennis won in 2023 by 521 votes.<\/p>\n<p>The district encompasses parts of Chesapeake and Suffolk.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-district-86-cordoza-v-thornton\">District 86: Cordoza v. Thornton<\/h2>\n<p>In<strong> District 86<\/strong>, Republican incumbent A.C. Cordoza is running against Democratic challenger Virgil Gene Thornton Sr.<\/p>\n<p>The race is the second tightest in the General Assembly, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/statenavigate.org\/about-us\/\">according to <\/a>data from State Navigate, a nonpartisan political research nonprofit. A recent poll from the organization <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/statenavigate.org\/new-poll-shows-democrats-favored-to-flip-virginia-house-seat-in-hampton-roads\/\">handed <\/a>Thornton, who was a civilian technician for the U.S. Navy, a razor-thin lead ahead of the election, after the Democrat released <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pilotonline.com\/2025\/10\/03\/attack-ad-hampton-delegate\/\">an attack ad <\/a>alleging his Republican opponent &ldquo;has a long history of predatory behavior.&rdquo; Cordoza has denied all allegations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thornton has outraised Cordoza, collecting more than $370,000 in donations compared to Cordoza&rsquo;s roughly $220,000, according to campaign finance reports.<\/p>\n<p>The district narrowly went for Harris last year after Cordoza secured reelection in 2023 and defeated Democrat challenger Jarris Taylor Jr. by roughly 13 points.<\/p>\n<p>The working-class district comprises Poquoson and parts of Hampton and York County.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-district-82-taylor-v-adams\">District 82: Taylor v. The two women are in<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.progress-index.com\/story\/news\/politics\/elections\/2025\/10\/08\/virginia-82nd-house-district-candidates-kim-taylor-kimberly-pope-adams\/86549476007\/\"> a rematch <\/a>after Taylor, the co-owner of three auto repair shops, beat Adams in the 2023 election by just 53 votes, in what was the closest House race that year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This time around, Adams, who has a background as an accountant and has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/actress-jameela-jamil-encourages-abortion-so-men-avoid-lifelong-fatherhood-and-child-support-payments\/\" title=\"Actress Jameela Jamil Encourages Abortion So Men Avoid \u201cLifelong Fatherhood and Child Support Payments\u201d\">made abortion access<\/a> a cornerstone of her campaign, has outraised the Republican incumbent by a large margin.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The district encompasses Petersburg, as well as eastern Dinwiddie County to Surry County, and parts of Prince George&rsquo;s County.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-district-75-coyner-v-dougherty\">District 75: Coyner v. Dougherty<\/h2>\n<p>In <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/virginiamercury.com\/2025\/10\/13\/familiar-foes-new-stakes-coyner-dougherty-rematch-tests-va-s-suburban-swing-in-house-district-75\/\"><strong>District 75<\/strong><\/a>, incumbent Republican Del. Carrie Coyner and Democrat Lindsey Dougherty are <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vpm.org\/elections\/2025-10-23\/election-2025-hd-75-carrie-coyner-lindsey-dougherty-chesterfield-hopewell\">engaging in a rematch<\/a> six years after they first squared off in the south Richmond suburbs. At the time, Dougherty lost by a 55&ndash;45 margin.<\/p>\n<p>Dougherty is a senior research administrator at Virginia Commonwealth University <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/virginiamercury.com\/2025\/10\/13\/familiar-foes-new-stakes-coyner-dougherty-rematch-tests-va-s-suburban-swing-in-house-district-75\/\">who manages <\/a>NIH and NSF grants, according to the <em>Virginia Mercury<\/em>. The Democrat holds a massive fundraising lead, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vpap.org\/candidates\/331414-lindsey-dougherty\/\">according to<\/a> VPAP, as she fights to flip the once-reliably Republican seat, which went for Harris 52% to 46% in the 2024 presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>Coyner is the lawmaker whom Lt. Gov. Jay Jones <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wric.com\/news\/politics\/local-election-hq\/coyner-shares-more-details-on-jones-text-messages\/\">sent the inflammatory texts<\/a> to in 2022 that blew up his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mi-lawmakers-just-made-it-easier-to-commit-election-fraud\/\" title=\"MI Lawmakers Simplify Process for Election Fraud\">attorney general&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s campaign this year. Coyner confirmed the veracity of the leaked messages earlier this month, explaining that Jones had initially mistakenly texted her &ldquo;terrible&rdquo; messages in which he mused about killing then-House Speaker Todd Gilbert, thinking she was someone else, before continuing to send additional messages.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Coyner&rsquo;s district comprises portions of Hopewell, Prince George&rsquo;s, and Chesterfield counties.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-district-71-batten-v-anderson\">District 71: Batten v. Anderson<\/h2>\n<p>In <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/virginiamercury.com\/2025\/10\/06\/growth-tourism-and-turnout-collide-in-house-district-71-rematch\/\"><strong>District 71<\/strong><\/a>, Republican incumbent Amanda Batten, who has represented the area since 2019 and is seeking her fourth full term, is running against Democratic challenger Jessica Anderson.<\/p>\n<p>The race marks a Virginia rematch, after Batten won a 2023 race against Anderson by just 667 votes. This time around, Anderson has outraised the GOP incumbent by a significant margin, according<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vpap.org\/offices\/house-of-delegates-71\/elections\/?year_and_type=2025regular\"> to data<\/a> from VPAP.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Democratic House Speaker Don Scott <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wavy.com\/news\/politics\/truth-tracker\/truth-tracker-what-is-true-in-the-house-dist-71-ads\/\">has described this <\/a>as one of the five priority races in Virginia. The swing district combines historic Williamsburg, neighborhoods in James City County, and the suburbs of New Kent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-district-65-cole-v-steinway\">District 65: Cole v. Steinway<\/h2>\n<p>In <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fredericksburgfreepress.com\/2025\/10\/03\/cole-steinway-offer-contrasting-stances-at-umw-debate\/\"><strong>District 65<\/strong><\/a>, Democratic incumbent Del. David Owen is facing a challenge from Democrat <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wric.com\/news\/politics\/local-election-hq\/six-house-races-to-watch-central-virginia-2025\/\">May Nivar<\/a> in a race that has shaped up to center around abortion access, among other issues.<\/p>\n<p>Nivar has outraised the Republican freshman by over $200,000. <\/p>\n<p>The district includes parts of Henrico and Goochland counties. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-district-22-lovejoy-v-guzman\">District 22: Lovejoy v. Guzm&aacute;n<\/h2>\n<p>In <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/virginiaindependentnews.com\/elections\/elizabeth-guzman-ian-lovejoy-november-4-house-delegates-district-22\/\"><strong>District 22<\/strong><\/a>, first-term incumbent Republican Del. Ian Lovejoy <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/wjla.com\/news\/local\/data-centers-trump-and-lgbtq-child-abuse-bill-are-center-stage-in-prince-william-county-virginia-house-race-delegates-election-november-4-ian-lovejoy-elizabeth-guzman\">faces Elizabeth Guzm&aacute;n<\/a>, &nbsp;who once served in the House of Delegates. Guzman&rsquo;s campaign has <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/virginiamercury.com\/2025\/10\/15\/in-house-district-22-candidates-tackle-data-centers-rising-costs-in-race-for-legislatures-future\/\">financially outperformed <\/a>her opponent&rsquo;s, raising over $946,000 compared to Lovejoy&rsquo;s roughly $537,000 as of Oct. 5, according to VPAP.<\/p>\n<p>The district includes parts of Prince William County and narrowly favored Harris in the 2024 election.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-district-21-thomas-v-gorham\">District 21: Thomas v.
