&mdash; the scandal that ultimately undid former President Richard Nixon.<\/p>\n<p>But while it may not be a total surprise to some that the feds dug up dirt on conservatives at the behest of the former Commander in Chief, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/major-phone-carriers-reveal-jack-smiths-subpoenas-republican-senators-records\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a> report has revealed that private business titans were roped into these shenanigans, too.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, the Fox report focuses on major telecom carriers AT&amp;T and Verizon, which &ldquo;took sharply different paths when former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sidney-powell-is-an-american-legal-giant\/\" title=\"Sidney Powell Is an American Legal Giant\">special counsel<\/a> Jack Smith&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >team subpoenaed phone records tied<\/a> to Republican lawmakers in 2023.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Verizon largely complied with Smith&rsquo;s subpoena.<\/p>\n<p>Fox reported: &ldquo;Verizon justified complying with the subpoenas, saying they were &lsquo;facially valid&rsquo; and contained only phone numbers, not names.
