The indictment accuses Abughazaleh and five others-catherine Sharp (seeking a Cook County Board seat), Michael Rabbitt (a Democratic committee member), Oak Park trustee Brian Straw, andre Martin, and Joselyn Walsh-of conspiring to block access to an ICE facility in Broadview, Illinois.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/10-suspected-antifa-members-face-charges-in-portland-riots\/\" title=\"10 suspected Antifa members face charges in Portland riots\">defendants face charges<\/a> of conspiracy and forcibly impeding and intimidating federal officers during their lawful duties. According to the indictment, the group physically obstructed an ICE agent&#8217;s vehicle, damaging it and forcing the agent to proceed slowly to avoid harm. Abughazaleh has denied the charges, calling them political persecution and a violation of First Amendment rights.<\/p>\n<p>The individuals are expected to appear in court on November 5. with an officer.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.ilnd.488591\/gov.uscourts.ilnd.488591.1.0.pdf\">indictment<\/a>, the six protesters &ldquo;conspired with one another and others, known and unknown, to prevent by force, intimidation, and threat, Agent A, a United States law enforcement officer, from discharging the duties of his office, and to injure him in his person or property on account of his lawful discharge of the duties of his office, and while engaged in the lawful discharge thereof, and to injure his property so as to interrupt, hinder, and impede him in the discharge of his official duties.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The indictment said the activists &ldquo;physically hindered and impeded&rdquo;
