It&rsquo;s very terrible. I have my best numbers,&rdquo; he continued, amid aggregate<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/polls\/donald-trump-approval-rating-polls.html\"> polling data<\/a> compiled by the <em>New York Times <\/em>showing the president&rsquo;s approval rating at 43%. &ldquo;I haven&rsquo;t really thought about it. We have some very good people, as you know&hellip;But I have the best poll numbers that I&rsquo;ve ever had.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Bannon, who played a key role in galvanizing Trump&rsquo;s first presidential victory in 2016, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ijf7K_08YWk\">told the<\/a> <em>Economist <\/em>last week that &ldquo;at the appropriate time we&rsquo;ll lay out what the plan is, but there&rsquo;s a plan and President Trump will be the president in &lsquo;28.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is the age of Trump, and we have to get all the squeeze out of the lemon,&rdquo; Bannon added. &ldquo;He&rsquo;s a vehicle of divine providence. &hellip; He&rsquo;s gonna get a third term. Trump is gonna be president in &lsquo;28 and people ought to just get accommodated with that.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>When questioned on the matter on Monday, Trump demurred, making vague comments similar to <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/house\/3792667\/andy-ogles-trump-eligible-third-term-president\/\">multiple other statements <\/a>he&rsquo;s given in recent months.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Am I not ruling it out? You&rsquo;ll have to tell me,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;All I can tell you is that we have a great, a great group of people, which they don&rsquo;t,&rdquo; he added in reference to the Democratic Party as he went on to slam Reps.
