While the TikTok ban went into effect as expected on Jan. 19, hours after the app stopped service in the U.S., Donald Trump extended the deadline to divest <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3824685\/trump-signs-executive-order-tiktok-deal-us\/\">three times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/premium\/3838591\/is-the-clock-about-to-stop-ticking-on-tiktok\/\"><strong>IS THE CLOCK ABOUT TO STOP TICKING ON TIKTOK?<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>TikTok hadn&rsquo;t pursued divestiture when then-President Joe Biden signed the ban into law, and it opted to challenge the ban legally. However, the Supreme Court ruled the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act did not violate the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >platform&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s First Amendment rights.
