The Democrat has since faced calls from Republicans to drop out of the state attorney general race, though <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2025\/10\/08\/jay-jones-texts-democrats-violence-republicans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">many Democrats<\/a> and his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/investigations\/3842446\/businesses-supporting-jay-jones-largely-silent-following-controversies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">corporate donors<\/a> have not retracted their support.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I actually think there may be real, real calls for a legal investigation,&rdquo; Virginia Gov.
