The ads called Aloise and Mamdani &#8220;political twins&#8221; and suggested Aloise supports Mamdani&#8217;s policies, which her lawyer denies as false and defamatory. Aloise does not back Mamdani&#8217;s positions, including his stance on cashless bail or his mayoral campaign. The ads were created in support of the republican incumbent, Nassau County District Attorney Anne Donnelly. Simultaneously occurring, New York City voters prepare to choose between Mamdani, independent Andrew Cuomo, and Republican Curtis Sliwa following Mayor Eric Adams&#8217; withdrawal from the race. The attorney, as reported by <em><a href=\"https:\/\/lilifepolitics.com\/news\/politics\/da-candidate-tells-gop-stop-the-lies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Long Island Life &amp; Politics<\/a><\/em>, noted Aloise&rsquo;s positions are easily verified in the public record.<\/p>\n<p>The ads were made in support of Nassau County District Attorney Anne Donnelly, a Republican.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> contacted the lawyer&rsquo;s office representing Aloise, the GOP committee that received the cease-and-desist letter, and the respective candidates&rsquo; campaigns for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, New York City voters are left to decide between Mamdani, independent candidate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/andrew-cuomo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Andrew Cuomo<\/a>, and Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa in next month&rsquo;s mayoral election after Mayor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/eric-adams\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eric Adams<\/a> dropped out of the race. The three remaining contenders will face off in the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >final mayoral debate<\/a> on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n<p>Mamdani is backed by Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/kathy-hochul\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kathy Hochul<\/a> (D-NY) and other New York Democrats.
