Authorities arrested him in the terminal after a family member reported a threat he made during a facetime call, where Cagle expressed intent to &#8220;shoot up the airport.&#8221; Police found an AR-15 rifle and ammunition in his truck outside the terminal. Police arrested Cagle in the terminal.<\/p>\n<p>An AR-15 rifle and 27 rounds of ammunition were found in his truck parked outside the terminal.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect said he wanted to &ldquo;shoot up the airport&rdquo; on a FaceTime call while he was driving, according to a criminal complaint filed by the U.S. Attorney&rsquo;s Office for the Northern District of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/georgia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Georgia<\/a>. He allegedly said, &ldquo;I&rsquo;m at the airport, and I&rsquo;m gonna go <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/29-refreshingly-unwoke-comics\/\" title=\"29 Refreshingly Unwoke Comics\">rat-a-tat-tat<\/a>,&rdquo; before hanging up.<\/p>\n<p>The person on the other end of the phone call, who was said to be a family member, immediately reported the threat to the police.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;As alleged in this complaint, Cagle senselessly threatened to do heinous violence to innocent travelers, at the world&rsquo;s busiest airport, with a high-powered weapon that he had no legal right to possess,&rdquo; U.S. Attorney Theodore Hertzberg <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-ndga\/pr\/cartersville-man-charged-federally-after-allegedly-threatening-shoot-airport\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said in a statement<\/a>. &ldquo;Thanks to the vigilance of other citizens and the quick action of law enforcement, a horrible tragedy was averted.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is a perfect example of &lsquo;See Something, Say Something&rsquo; in action,&rdquo; FBI Atlanta Special Agent in Charge Paul Brown added. &ldquo;When Billy Joe Cagle&rsquo;s family noticed something wasn&rsquo;t right, they alerted authorities. Their quick thinking &mdash; combined with the swift, heroic response of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/virginia-college-student-arrested-by-fbi-for-plotting-terrorist-attack-on-israeli-consulate-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Virginia college student arrested by FBI for plotting terrorist attack on Israeli Consulate - Washington Examiner\">law enforcement partners &#038;mdash<\/a>; undoubtedly saved lives.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Cagle&rsquo;s family and friends said he was suffering from a mental health crisis before his arrest, with his brother <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox5atlanta.com\/news\/brother-says-man-arrested-atlanta-airport-not-his-right-mind\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">telling a local news outlet<\/a> that Cagle &ldquo;wasn&rsquo;t in his right mind&rdquo; when he arrived at the airport Monday morning.
