In one text message, he denigrated the federal holiday for civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. and, in another, admitted he had a &ldquo;Nazi streak.&rdquo; The leaked messages were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2025\/10\/20\/paul-ingrassia-racist-text-messages-nazi-00613608\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported by <em>Politico<\/em><\/a>, which covered a similar group chat involving Young Republican leaders last week.<\/p>\n<p>In response to the latest report, Thune and several Republican senators urged Trump to recall Ingrassia because he wouldn&rsquo;t be approved anyway.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/senate\/3857811\/thune-trump-nominee-paul-ingrassia-leaked-texts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">THUNE URGES TRUMP TO DROP NOMINEE WHO ALLEGEDLY MADE RACIST REMARKS IN LEAKED CHAT<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ingrassia could not lose more than three GOP votes if all Democrats opposed his confirmation. At least three Republicans &mdash; Sens.
