Moynihan reportedly sent threatening text messages stating he intended to &#8220;eliminate&#8221; Jeffries before a scheduled speech in New York City. After a Joint Terrorism Task Force examination, Moynihan was arrested and charged with a felony, entering a not guilty plea. Jeffries condemned the threat,expressing gratitude to law enforcement and emphasizing that such violence will not deter his work. Moynihan is among approximately 1,500 individuals arrested for the Capitol breach, many of whom received pardons from Trump after his 2020 reelection. Threats of violence will not stop us from showing up, standing up and speaking up for the American people,&rdquo; he continued in a statement.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Moynihan was arrested by New York State Police following an initial FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force investigation. He was arraigned on Tuesday and entered a plea of not guilty, according to documents <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/pardoned-capitol-rioter-charged-threatening-hakeem-jeffries-nyc-trump\/\">seen by<\/a> CBS News.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Text messages he is accused of sending read: &ldquo;Hakeem Jeffries makes a speech in a few days in NYC. Even if I am hated he must be eliminated. &hellip; I will kill him for the future.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Court documents say that the text messages placed &ldquo;the recipient in reasonable fear of the imminent murder and assassination of Hakeem Jeffries by the defendant.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Moynihan is one of roughly 1,500 people arrested in 2021 after they were accused of entering the Capitol premises illegally and staging a riot.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After winning reelection to the White House, Trump issued<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/3293179\/trump-announces-mass-clemency-pardons-january-6-defendants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> mass pardons or acts of clemency<\/a> to most of those defendants, including Moynihan, expressing concern about the FBI&rsquo;s involvement in the incident, while arguing that many were charged unfairly and had endured excruciating conditions in prison.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jeffries targeted Trump for his actions this week, saying, &ldquo;Many of the criminals released have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/angel-families-dhs-chief-mayorkas-biden-criminally-aiding-illegal-aliens\/\" title=\"Angel Families: DHS Chief Mayorkas, Biden Criminally Aiding Illegal Aliens\">committed additional crimes<\/a> throughout the country.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Unfortunately, our brave men and women in law enforcement are being forced to spend their time keeping our communities safe from these violent individuals who should never have been pardoned,&rdquo; the House Democrat said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>His words come as Moynihan is not the first pardoned Jan. 6 defendant to be arrested on new, separate charges.<\/p>\n<p>At least 10 other Jan. 6 defendants have been re-arrested, charged, or sentenced for other crimes since being released, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citizensforethics.org\/reports-investigations\/crew-investigations\/at-least-10-pardoned-insurrectionists-face-other-criminal-charges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to <\/a>Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/immigration\/3858018\/california-democrats-master-ice-tracker-website\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>CALIFORNIA DEMOCRATS TO LAUNCH ICE TRACKER SITE DESPITE DOJ OPPOSITION<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Daniel Bell, a Florida man arrested on pending federal gun charges, is one of them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Bell was detained in late January on an arrest warrant for illegal firearm possession &mdash;
