Additional guns were found days later at the home of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-ndtx\/pr\/fbi-captures-alleged-prairieland-shooter-benjamin-hanil-song-dallas-texas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Benjamin Hanil Song<\/a>, who is facing three counts of attempted murder and three counts of discharging a firearm in relation to a crime of violence.<\/p>\n<div class=\"tpd-featured-video featured-post-video in-content bridtv\">\n<div id=\"Brid_2206620\" class=\"brid\" style=\"width:1280;height:720;\"> <\/div>\n<div class=\"tpd-featured-video-placeholder\" style=\"position:relative;overflow:hidden;width:100%;padding-top:56.25%;background-color:#000;\">\n<div style=\"position:absolute;top:0;left:0;bottom:0;right:0;width:100%;height:100%\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Investigators say the group created a diversion with fireworks and graffiti before opening fire on responding officers with semiautomatic rifles.<\/p>\n<p>Moments later, Arnold allegedly opened fire on the officers, striking the Alvarado officer in the neck as the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >unarmed correctional officers ran<\/a> for cover, according to the indictment, which stated that Arnold continued to fire additional rounds until his rifle jammed. The officer who was struck was treated and later released.<\/p>\n<p>Arnold, Evetts, and others, charged with involvement in the attack, allegedly used an encrypted messaging app to coordinate their moves. At one point, a member of the group wrote &ldquo;I&rsquo;m done with peaceful protests&rdquo; and &ldquo;Blue lives don&rsquo;t matter&rdquo; as part of those texts.<\/p>\n<p>FBI Director&nbsp;Kash Patel&nbsp;announced the charges Thursday, calling the case a milestone in the bureau&rsquo;s counterterrorism efforts. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;First time ever: the FBI arrested antifa-aligned anarchist violent extremists and terrorism charges have been brought for the July 4 Prairieland ICE attack in Texas,&rdquo; Patel <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/FBIDirectorKash\/status\/1978873278203560029\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">posted<\/a> to X. &ldquo;Under President Trump&rsquo;s new authorities we&rsquo;ve made over 20 arrests. No one gets to harm law enforcement. Not on my watch.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The indictments follow President&nbsp;Donald Trump&rsquo;s executive order,&nbsp;signed earlier this summer, which formally designated antifa as a domestic terrorist organization.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/immigration\/3465235\/ten-charged-attempted-murder-alvarado-texas-ice-facility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TEN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER IN &lsquo;PLANNED AMBUSH&rsquo; OF ICE OFFICERS AT ALVARADO FACILITY<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 10 suspects who are facing charges in relation to the Prairieland attack include Arnold, Evetts,&nbsp;Marciela Rueda, Savanna Batten, Joy Gibson, Meagan Morris, Nathan Baumann, Ines Soto, Elizabeth Soto,&nbsp;and&nbsp;Seth Sikes.
