This halt prevents any federalized National Guardsmen from being sent to the city while a trial is scheduled for october 29. The case,brought by Oregon officials,challenges Trump&#8217;s order to federalize Oregon National Guardsmen and deploy troops to Portland.<\/p>\n<p>Simultaneously occurring, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has temporarily lifted the order blocking the federalization of the Oregon National Guard, though it has yet to make a final ruling. While Trump is not permitted to deploy any troops to the city due to Immergut&rsquo;s extended order, a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >federal appeals court temporarily lifted<\/a> her previous order to block the Oregon National Guard from being federalized.<\/p>\n<p>A panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit held a hearing on the matter last week, with one judge saying it appeared there was no evidence Trump took any unlawful action with his Portland deployment plans. The appeals court has yet to issue a firm ruling regarding the appeal of Immergut&rsquo;s order.<\/p>\n<p>Her order extending the block of Trump&rsquo;s deployment of troops to Portland is the latest setback in the legal battle Democrats are waging across the country over the president&rsquo;s use of the National Guard to defend federal assets and personnel in Los Angeles, Portland, and Chicago.<\/p>\n<p>In Los Angeles, a federal district judge initially blocked Trump&rsquo;s federalization of California National Guardsmen before a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/title-42-may-end-as-soon-as-april\/\" title=\"Title 42 May End as Soon as April\">federal appeals court panel<\/a> lifted his order.
