Cory mills, who was recently issued a restraining order by a Florida court.johnson described Mills as a &#8220;faithful colleague&#8221; and said he was unaware of teh details, suggesting the House Ethics Committee would investigate if necesary. The restraining order resulted from allegations by Mills&#8217;s ex-girlfriend,Lindsey Langston,a former Miss United States,who accused him of harassment and <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >threats involving explicit content<\/a> and violence. The court found Mills&#8217;s behavior warranted protection for Langston, barring him from contact and proximity to her until at least January 2026. Langston claimed she became &ldquo;physically ill&rdquo; and was forced to take prescribed medications to treat her constant state of anxiety due to the congressman&rsquo;s actions, per the court filing.<\/p>\n<p>The judge found the restraining order was necessary to protect Langston from future acts of dating violence, while concluding Mills &ldquo;offered no credible rebuttal&rdquo; to her testimony.<\/p>\n<p>The newly granted restraining order prohibits Mills from going within 500 feet of Langston&rsquo;s home or workplace and bars him from contacting her, either directly or indirectly, especially on social media. Langston reportedly found out about his side relationship from news reports.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, Mills <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/house\/3361728\/cory-mills-house-ethics-committee-investigation-alleged-financial-violations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">remains under investigation<\/a> by the House Ethics Committee for possible violations of federal finance laws and House rules.
