The video was obtained by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsmax.com\/thewire\/alec-baldwin-dashcam-footage\/2025\/10\/14\/id\/1230250\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Newsmax<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/10\/14\/entertainment\/dramatic-video-shows-moment-alec-baldwin-rams-head-on-into-tree-in-hamptons-car-crash\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a> reported, the video shows a National Waste Services truck making a right turn onto a two-lane road out of what appears to be a residential complex.<\/p>\n<p>The truck is on the two-lane road for about 8 seconds before it veers toward the right shoulder.<\/p>\n<p>Seconds later, Baldwin&rsquo;s vehicle is seen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/alec-stephen-baldwin-involved-head-car-crash\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">plowing<\/a> into a tree to the right of the truck.<\/p>\n<p>Given the time between when the truck pulled onto the two-lane road and when Baldwin crashed into the tree, it&rsquo;s difficult to see how the trash truck could have cut him off. As Newsmax noted, the video appears to directly contradict the actor&rsquo;s claim.<\/p>\n<p>Given Baldwin&rsquo;s celebrity status &mdash; not only as an actor but as one of the most <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/alec-baldwin-just-said-dreams-trumps-hanging-hasnt-deplatformed-inciting-violence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">outspoken critics<\/a> of President Donald Trump in a business that has even more Trump critics than it does former waiters &mdash; the news of Baldwin&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >accident made headlines nationally<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And the questions raised by the release of the dashcam video drew probably inevitable comparisons to Baldwin&rsquo;s brush with the law after his involvement in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/husband-cinematographer-killed-rust-set-unleashes-alec-baldwin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shooting death<\/a> of a young woman on the set of a movie he was making in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>In that case, Baldwin was holding a gun loaded with live ammunition rather than prop bullets.
