The judgment stems from a lawsuit by families of victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, in which Jones falsely claimed the massacre was a hoax. The Court did not provide an explanation for rejecting Jones&#8217;s petition for review, which was widely seen as unlikely to succeed. Jones&rsquo;s bid at the Supreme Court was his last chance to stop the judgment from being handed down.<\/p>\n<p>Jones&rsquo;s lawyer had argued the high court was &ldquo;obligated to make its own independent evaluation of the entire record here, which can only be done&rdquo; by reviewing the case, claiming the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/is-the-democrats-election-heist-too-big-to-fail\/\" title=\"Is the Democrats\u2019 Election Heist \u2018Too Big to Fail\u2019?\">lower courts<\/a> in Connecticut had not properly ensured the families had proven Jones committed actual malice with his comments.
