Gives Pardons to 73 Individuals and Commutes Another 70 Sentences \u2013 Steve Bannon Is Included\">bank fraud<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/4-special-counsel-revelations-tying-spygate-to-hillary-clintons-campaign\/\" title=\"4 Special Counsel Revelations Tying Spygate To Hillary Clinton\u2019s Campaign\">false statement charges<\/a> by urging the public to &#8220;let the process play out.&#8221; Adams related James&#8217;s situation to his own past prosecution,which he described as politically motivated and a form of weaponization of the justice system. He expressed frustration over the public attacks and damage to his reputation during his legal battles, emphasizing his long record of public service. Even though Adams did not explicitly accuse the current charges against James of being politically motivated, he acknowledged feeling targeted himself. Meanwhile, James called the charges against her baseless and part of a political weaponization linked to former President Donald Trump, who has been accused of using the Justice Department against her. I had 40 years of delivering for the people of the city of New York. And within months, my entire life was destroyed.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>President Donald Trump has been accused of weaponizing the Justice Department against James.<\/p>\n<p>He reportedly accidentally posted instructions to Attorney General Pam Bondi to indict James and others. &ldquo;What about Comey, Adam &lsquo;Shifty&rsquo; Schiff, Leticia???&rdquo; he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They&rsquo;re all guilty as hell, but nothing is going to be done,&rdquo; he claimed, adding that &ldquo;we can&rsquo;t delay any longer, it&rsquo;s killing our reputation and credibility.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>James called the charges against her, bank fraud and false statement charges, &ldquo;baseless&rdquo; and &ldquo;nothing more than a continuation of the president&rsquo;s desperate weaponization of our justice system.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Adams did not say whether the charges amounted to weaponization when asked, instead referring to his own corruption case, which the Trump administration dropped.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Do you feel they weaponized me? Of course,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;You asked me about others, but I remember how you covered me. &hellip; Don&rsquo;t start asking me about what do I think about what&rsquo;s going on now.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I want to know, what did y&rsquo;all think about when my life was destroyed in this city? And I wish I had a mic so I could drop it right now,&rdquo; he concluded, walking away.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/3844862\/new-york-attorney-general-letitia-james-indicted-on-bank-fraud-charge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NEW YORK ATTORNEY GENERAL LETITIA JAMES INDICTED ON BANK FRAUD CHARGE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Adams often mirrored Trump&rsquo;s weaponization allegations during the controversy about the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >mayor&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s indictment last year. Rumors fluttered that he was growing closer to the president so he could find an exit ramp away from his criminal charges.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;As I said all along, this case never should have been brought, and I did nothing wrong,&rdquo; he said in April when his case was dropped.
