The Israeli cabinet has approved a ceasefire plan proposed by former President Donald Trump aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza and securing the release of all Israeli hostages held by Hamas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the government’s approval of the framework for releasing both living and deceased hostages.Netanyahu credited Trump’s team, including special envoy<\/a> Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, along with Israeli military efforts, for bringing the deal to fruition. It is believed there are currently 20 living hostages out of 48 still held by Hamas. The release is expected imminently,possibly by Monday or Tuesday following the approval.
