“After negotiations, Israel has agreed to the initial withdrawal line, which we have shown to, and shared with, Hamas,” the U.S. president posted. <\/p>\n

“When Hamas confirms, the Ceasefire will be IMMEDIATELY effective, the Hostages and Prisoner Exchange will begin, and we will create the conditions for the next phase of withdrawal, which will bring us close to the end of this 3,000 YEAR CATASTROPHE,” he added. “Thank you for your attention to this matter and, STAY TUNED!”<\/p>\n

Trump’s post included a photo illustrating where the initial withdrawal line would be in relation to major cities like Rafah and Gaza City, as well as the Palestinian refugee camp Bureij. <\/p>\n

If agreed to, Israeli forces will withdraw all troops to this line, and all military operations including aerial and artillery bombardment will be suspended.<\/p>\n

Trump has given Hamas a deadline of 6 p.m. Eastern time on Sunday to agree to the deal. <\/p>\n

The initial withdrawal line is just one part of the Trump administration’s 20-point proposal<\/a> to end the conflict, which starts with declaring Gaza a “deradicalized terror-free zone that does not pose a threat to its neighbors.”<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen whether Hamas will agree to the deal, as reports from Saudi outlets indicate that officials are prepared to “not reject the plan entirely.” <\/p>\n

Reports also suggest that Hamas leadership may accept it in part, and propose additional amendments<\/a>. <\/p>\n

It is unlikely the Trump administration would accept this offer, as Trump called his most recent proposal a “LAST CHANCE agreement” on Friday. <\/p>\n

If Hamas fails to agree to the terms, the president warned “all HELL” would break out. <\/p>\n

On Saturday morning, Trump again insisted<\/a> that he wishes for Hamas to make a decision quickly, or “all bets will be off.” <\/p>\n

“I will not tolerate delay, which many think will happen, or any outcome where Gaza poses a threat again,” he said. “Let’s get this done, FAST. Everyone will be treated fairly!”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
