Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has stated that he would welcome an endorsement from current New York City Mayor Eric Adams in his independent mayoral campaign, but he would reject one from former President Donald Trump. Cuomo is running against socialist zohran Mamdani and Republican Curtis Sliwa. Even though Trump favors Cuomo as a candidate and has criticized Mamdani, Cuomo denies close ties with Trump and refuses to accept his backing. Cuomo hopes to unite moderate voters, emphasizing a “big-tent<\/a>” approach but excluding Trump’s support.Mamdani, who won the Democratic primary against Cuomo, has criticized cuomo as Trump’s candidate. The race includes debates scheduled in October, with early voting starting October 25 and Election Day on November 4.
