Bondi<\/em><\/a>  on Tuesday of this week.<\/p>\n<p>The case was brought by the Firearms Policy Coalition, the Second Amendment Foundation, and two citizens.<\/p>\n<p>O&rsquo;Connor found that the law &ldquo;is unconstitutional under the Second Amendment with respect to Plaintiffs&rsquo; \t\t\t\t}); \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>The complaint, originally submitted in June 2024, challenged the law on the grounds that the government had no historical basis for the restriction.<\/p>\n<p>The court agreed, explaining that the government must prove any firearm restriction is &ldquo;sufficiently analogous to a &lsquo;well-established and representative historical analogue.&rsquo;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>This ruling follows the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/major-win-2a-community-doj-atf-repeal-much-hated-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Department of Justice<\/a> dropping an appeal in a similar case out of Florida.<\/p>\n<p>There, a judge found that the government failed to meet its burden to justify a firearms ban on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/judge-engorons-inflation-of-trumps-ill-gotten-gains-is-the-real-financial-fraud\/\" title=\"Judge Engoron&#039;s inflation of Trump&#039;s &#039;ill-gotten gains&#039; is the true financial fraud\">post office property<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Second Amendment Foundation Executive Director Adam Kraut said <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >millions visit post offices daily<\/a> and should not be forced to choose between basic services and their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gun-laws-changed-updated-reciprocity-map-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rights<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Alan Gottlieb, who started the Second Amendment Foundation, added that there is &ldquo;no historical analogue&rdquo; for a postal firearms ban.<\/p>\n<p>The Firearms Policy Coalition noted Judge O&rsquo;Connor&rsquo;s clear explanation that the founders themselves never banned firearms in post offices.<\/p>\n<p>Brandon Combs of the Firearms Policy Coalition stressed that governments cannot &ldquo;invent new so-called &lsquo;gun-free zones&rsquo; whenever they please.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>He declared the ruling ends threats of prosecution for &ldquo;peaceable people&rdquo; simply mailing a package or buying stamps.<\/p>\n<p>The truth is simple: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/manliest-firefighter-ever-seen-shot-chest-takes-muggers-gun-clears-jam-opens-fire-calls-911-lives-bullet-still-chest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gun-free zones<\/a> do not stop killers.<\/p>\n<p>A sign that says &ldquo;no firearms allowed&rdquo;
