Another Houston facility also ceased operations&nbsp;on Oct. 1, leaving four locations in the Houston area.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-2121271336\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>While abortion is illegal after six weeks gestation in Texas, Susan B. Anthony Pro-life America <a href=\"https:\/\/sbaprolife.org\/planned-parenthood-closures\/planned-parenthood-prevention-park-health-center\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reports<\/a> that Planned Parenthoods in the Lone Star State still refer abortion-minded women for out of state abortions and direct them to resources that will pay for their travel.<\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast controlled the operation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/media-cry-when-late-term-abortion-is-paused\/\" title=\"Media Cry When Late...Term ... Is Paused\">abortion giant&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s Houston-area facilities and those in Louisiana. But after these Texas closures, and the shuttering of both Louisiana facilities also slated for the end of September, Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas will take over operation of the remaining four in the Houston area, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/planned-parenthood-gulf-coast\/patients\/locations-hours\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to<\/a> Planned Parenthood&rsquo;s website.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.centerformedicalprogress.org\/cmp\/investigative-footage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Footage<\/a> from the Center for Medical Progress released in 2015 allegedly showed leadership from Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast in a flippant discussion on harvesting and selling body parts of aborted babies, and the brutal measures employed to avoid partial-birth abortions in an attempt to skirt federal law. One video references &ldquo;Prevention Park&rdquo; as a site for the sale of aborted baby&rsquo;s body parts for experiments.<\/p>\n<p>The One Big Beautiful Bill&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/119th-congress\/house-bill\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Act<\/a>&nbsp;passed by Congress on July 3 stripped Planned Parenthood of approximately&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycitizen.focusonthefamily.com\/house-passes-one-big-beautiful-bill-act-finally-defunding-planned-parenthood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$500 million<\/a>&nbsp;in federal, taxpayer-supplied funds by restricting the use of Medicaid payments at nonprofits that offer abortions, with limited exceptions.<\/p>\n<p>Enforcement of that provision was initially <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/planned-parenthood-funding-cuts-ruling-343034bc26917049d6d58a8ba8c58c21\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blocked<\/a>&nbsp;by a federal judge after Planned Parenthood sued the Trump administration. However, an appeals court <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/09\/12\/appeals-court-quietly-lifts-injunctions-on-trumps-plans-to-defund-planned-parenthood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lifted<\/a> the injunctions staying enforcement of the provision defunding Planned Parenthood earlier this month. Planned Parenthood&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/blog\/planned-parenthood-defunded-but-were-still-here\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a>&nbsp;that approximately two-thirds of its facilities risk closure without these funds.<\/p>\n<p>Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sbaprolife.org\/newsroom\/press-releases\/new-resource-tracking-planned-parenthood-closures-in-2025\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">described<\/a>&nbsp;the measures depriving Planned Parenthood of approximately $500 million &ldquo;the greatest national pro-life victory since the&nbsp;<em>Dobbs&nbsp;<\/em>decision.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood boasted performing 402,230 abortions, in 2022-2023, a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lozierinstitute.org\/fact-sheet-planned-parenthoods-2023-24-annual-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">23 percent<\/a> increase since 2013.
