The device was ultimately deemed non-explosive, and no injuries occurred. University and local law enforcement were dispatched to the scene,&rdquo; the college said in a statement, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/bomb-squad-detonates-suspicious-device-utah-state-university-prior-tpusa-event\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;A device was located and deemed to be a non-explosive device. Out of an abundance of caution, the bomb squad detonated the suspicious device. Old Main building is now clear and safe. Mike Lee of Utah, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox, Republican Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona, and former Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz are scheduled to speak at the event.<\/p>\n<p>University representative Logan Wilber said &ldquo;everything is moving forward as planned&rdquo; for the event, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksl.com\/article\/51383332\/suspicious-package-usu-evacuates-building-ahead-of-turning-point-usa-stop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KSL-TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Moving forward with the American Comeback Tour is &ldquo;exactly what Charlie would have wanted,&rdquo; Turning Point USA&rsquo;s Utah State University Chapter President Kaitlin Griffiths said, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/09\/20\/us-news\/charlie-kirks-american-comeback-tour-plans-utah-return-weeks-after-the-conservative-activists-assassination-in-the-state\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&ldquo;He wouldn&rsquo;t want things to go on hold. He would only want this to empower our organization and our entire nation,&rdquo; the statement added.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&ldquo;Each stop is a chance to honor Charlie&rsquo;s mission and keep the fight alive. We know he wouldn&rsquo;t want us to surrender or be coerced into silence. Free speech is only free if we use our voices,&rdquo; Turning Point USA said about the event in a <a href=\"https:\/\/events2022.tpusa.com\/events\/the-american-comeback-tour-at-utah-state-university-ee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post on its website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aubrey Laitsch, public relations manager for Turning Point USA, said that scheduled fall events will be held, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sltrib.com\/news\/2025\/09\/14\/charlie-kirk-planned-2-utah-stops\/\">Salt Lake Tribune<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&ldquo;In honor of Charlie Kirk&rsquo;s life, mission, and legacy, some of the most influential voices in the conservative movement have generously offered to speak in his place at these events.
