locker rooms, ABC 7 News&rsquo; Nick Minock reported.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1670358428\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Abigail Spanberger, the Democrat candidate for governor in Virginia, did not respond to The Federalist&rsquo;s inquiry asking whether she believes it is appropriate for males to have access to sensitive female spaces such&nbsp;as bathrooms and locker rooms, and whether she supports allowing men like Cox to use their supposed &ldquo;transgender&rdquo; identities to access sensitive&nbsp;women&rsquo;s and children&rsquo;s spaces. Spanberger has <a href=\"https:\/\/wjla.com\/news\/local\/winsome-earle-sears-abigail-spanberger-virginia-lt-governor-race-politics-local-political-news-differ-transgender-sports-bathroom-policies-school-choice-lgbtq-youth-minors-medical-hormone-nova-doe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">previously<\/a> refused to <a href=\"https:\/\/wjla.com\/news\/local\/spanberger-rejects-questions-on-transgender-bathroom-policies-that-earle-sears-opposes-suspension-students-locker-room-policy-department-of-education-boys-girls-judge-district-court-viriginia-winsome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">condemn <\/a>men&rsquo;s access to sensitive women&rsquo;s spaces, as <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/08\/08\/virginia-dem-gubernatorial-candidate-refuses-to-condemn-letting-boys-in-girls-bathrooms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a> by The Federalist.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZNKZRII7N5k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">statement<\/a> Friday, Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares explained that Cox&rsquo;s status as a sex offender extends back to the 1990s, and that he was convicted on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/two-more-men-linked-to-netflix-doc-charged-with-sexual-misconduct-with-minors\/\" title=\"Two More Men Linked To Netflix Doc Charged With Sexual Misconduct With Minors\">child pornography charges<\/a> in 2006. Since then, Miyares noted, Cox has taken advantage of Virginia law that allowed him to change his driver&rsquo;s license sex description to female, letting him exploit his claimed &ldquo;transgender&rdquo; identity and access to female spaces where he allegedly repeatedly exposed himself to women. Cox <a href=\"http:\/\/google.com\/search?q=cox+asked+teh+judge+to+stop+misgendering&amp;oq=cox+&amp;gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqBggAEEUYOzIGCAAQRRg7MhsIARAuGBQYgwEYxwEYhwIYsQMYyQMY0QMYgAQyBggCECMYJzITCAMQLhjHARiRAhjRAxiABBiKBTITCAQQLhiDARivARjHARixAxiABDIGCAUQRRg9MgYIBhBFGDwyBggHEEUYPNIBBzY5MGowajSoAgCwAgA&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">appealed <\/a>to this so-called identity in a preliminary hearing in Arlington County Thursday, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/09\/26\/us-news\/sex-offender-accused-of-exposing-himself-in-girls-bathrooms-while-claiming-to-be-trans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">repeatedly claiming<\/a> to be a woman and <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NickMinock\/status\/1971247626755752396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">complaining<\/a> that he was being &ldquo;misgendered.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Fairfax Commonwealth Attorney&rsquo;s Office &ldquo;declined to participate in the prosecution of Cox&rdquo; over a 2024 indecent exposure charge that was eventually dismissed, Miyares said, nor would it prosecute his reported presence near an indoor children&rsquo;s playground, in violation of his status as a registered sex offender. Miyares <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZNKZRII7N5k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">attributed<\/a> Cox&rsquo;s alleged exposure of himself at an Arlington County high school &mdash; testified to in an Arlington County hearing &mdash; and other incidents to Fairfax County&rsquo;s failure to prosecute Cox.<\/p>\n<p>Miyares <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oag.state.va.us\/media-center\/news-releases\/2916-september-26-2025-attorney-general-jason-miyares-releases-report-detailing-misconduct-failures-and-constitutional-violations-by-fairfax-county-commonwealths-attorney-steve-descano\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">criticized<\/a> Fairfax County Commonwealth Attorney&rsquo;s Office for &ldquo;an alarming pattern of misconduct, neglect of victims&rsquo; rights, constitutional violations, and dangerous prosecutorial policies&rdquo; under the leadership of Steve Descano.
