Her comments have received criticism from Democratic pundits.<\/p>\n<p>She said she was &ldquo;surprised&rdquo; by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3815048\/pete-buttigieg-kamala-harris-2024-vp-pick\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reaction to that portion<\/a> of the book<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2025\/09\/29\/politics\/kamala-harris-107-days-profile\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> in a CNN interview<\/a>, noting her intention was not to offend Gov.
