The United States has begun deporting hundreds of Iranian nationals back to Iran following an agreement reached between the two countries. The initial phase involved chartering a flight from Louisiana carrying 120 Iranians, who are being flown first to Qatar before returning to Iran. most of those deported reportedly entered the U.S. illegally, often through Mexico, with many claiming asylum due<\/a> to religious or political persecution fears.
