“My utmost importance is to ensure that when my children are in school, they’re in there in a safe environment,” Adams said at the time. “I do not believe a safe environment is allowing boys and girls to use the same facility at the same time.”<\/p>\n

Adams then added, “I’m going to look at exactly what the policy is. If it’s allowing them to be in the same restroom at the same time, I would use whatever power I have to stop that.”<\/p>\n

On Monday’s episode of LiveNOW from Fox<\/em>, Adams addressed a question on whether he’d changed his mind about transgender people using the bathroom of their choice. <\/p>\n

“There’s no indicator in history that I was in support of boys going into showers with little girls. So it’s not that I heard from Trump, I heard from Dorothy Adams, my mother,” Adams said.<\/p>\n

Adams explained that he is for “men and women using the same bathrooms, but not at the same time.”<\/p>\n
