The article reports<\/a> that Attorney General Pam Bondi has appointed Mary “maggie” Cleary as the new acting U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. Cleary succeeds Erik Siebert, who served in an interim role before his nomination was withdrawn by former president Donald Trump. Cleary announced her appointment in an email to staff, expressing surprise but eagerness to continue their mission.
