The Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, along with several environmental groups, is set to present their case at hearings in Ashland, Wisconsin, challenging permits issued by the Wisconsin Department of Natural resources. These permits approve a 41-mile reroute of the Line 5 pipeline in northern Wisconsin. The hearings will feature testimony from tribal leaders<\/a> and experts in groundwater, water resources, and wetlands, focusing on the environmental risks posed<\/a> by both the current pipeline and the proposed reroute.
