Campaign Press Conference on Challenges to Election Results\">state supreme court<\/a> and prosecutors from the Mississippi attorney general&rsquo;s office.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Other red states have made similar moves in blue cities even as crime in those cities has decreased sharply from pandemic-era highs,&rdquo; the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/politics\/government\/it-s-not-just-trump-red-states-are-cracking-down-on-their-own-blue-cities\/ar-AA1M6JR9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">article<\/a> read. &ldquo;And now President Donald Trump is borrowing from the playbook, having sent federal agents and National Guard troops to patrol the nation&rsquo;s capital and threatening to do the same elsewhere.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s no surprise the mainstream media is painting Republican efforts to control crime as an existential threat to the country. J.B. Pritzker should reach out to the White House and signal a willingness to work with federal authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Yet most of Scarborough&rsquo;s colleagues paint any increase in law enforcement as fascist, even when it&rsquo;s done on the state level.<\/p>\n<p>The Washington Post&rsquo;s article went after Texas for deploying National Guard troops to handle potential protests related to the White House&rsquo;s recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ice-agents-found-california-marijuana-farm-raid-made-whole-thing-worth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">immigration crackdown<\/a>. Why is this an issue?<\/p>\n<p>The newspaper also slammed Georgia and Indiana for daring to increase &ldquo;state police presence in blue cities,&rdquo; and for creating &ldquo;state boards to investigate and discipline local prosecutors.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Considering how Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/appeals-court-deals-fatal-blow-fani-willis-trump-prosecution-disqualifies-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mishandled<\/a> her case against the president, along with recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-ultra-damning-video-fani-willis-los-angeles-just-surfaced-raises-huge-perjury-questions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">accusations of perjury<\/a>, it&rsquo;s no wonder they need more oversight.<\/p>\n<p>Willis has been accused of committing lawfare against the commander in chief, in addition to having a romantic relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade, whom she appointed to handle the case. These revelations led to her being disqualified from the case.<\/p>\n<p>And she&rsquo;s only one of many local prosecutors who have been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/alert-j6ers-trouble-soros-da-move-path-throw-back-jail\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">accused<\/a> of abusing their authority and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/da-drop-charges-sex-offender-whose-alleged-elementary-school-kidnapping-attempt-caught-camera\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cutting deals<\/a> with individuals who should be behind bars.<\/p>\n<p>Defending such behavior has become a pattern with legacy media outlets. They seem more interested in protecting criminals and corrupt prosecutors than local citizens.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Homeland Security put out a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dhs-wrecks-nyt-puff-piece-deported-murderer-will-finally-light-victims\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news release<\/a> last week citing a story from the New York Times that sympathized with a deported murderer instead of his victims.<\/p>\n<p>DHS rightly asked why the media rarely covers the victims of violent crime, and instead chooses to produce sob stories in defense of hardened criminals.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The New York Times ran a sob story of Orville Etoria, an illegal alien from Jamaica and a convicted MURDERER,&rdquo; the DHS&nbsp;news release&nbsp;began. &ldquo;In addition to murder, this serial criminal&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >rap sheet includes criminal possession<\/a> of a weapon, armed robbery, and forcible theft with a deadly weapon.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>A DHS representative quoted in the release asked, &ldquo;Why does the New York Times continue to peddle sob stories of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-first-detention-facility-for-immigrant-border-crossers-opens-critics-mock-change-in-coverage-now-that-a-democrat-is-in-office\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s First Detention Facility For Immigrant Border Crossers Opens, Critics Mock Change In Coverage Now That A Democrat Is In Office\">criminal illegal aliens<\/a>? When will they finally shed light on their victims?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Every single day President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-says-no-choice-seek-death-penalty-every-d-c-murder-case-crime-city-plummets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump<\/a> and Secretary Noem fight for justice for American victims of illegal alien crime and nearly every single day the media ignores these victims and their families.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s about time these outlets wake up and realize that although criminals and defendants have rights, the pendulum has swung too far.
