They will instead receive cash considerations, partially funded by proceeds from the public sale of around 14.2 million shares of News Corp Class B common stock and around 16.9 million shares of Fox Corporation Class B common stock.<\/p>\n<p>Lachlan Murdoch, 54, took over as head of News Corp and Fox Corporation in 2023 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/2570801\/rupert-murdoch-announces-hes-stepping-down-from-fox-and-news-corp-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">after his father stepped down<\/a>.
