Isn&rsquo;t that what you&rsquo;re supposed to do?&rdquo; he said, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpbf.com\/article\/ryan-routh-defense-judge-jury-selection-florida\/66016820\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WPBF-TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Routh apologized to the potential jurors for interrupting their lives.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&ldquo;I am Ryan Wesley Routh. I&rsquo;m the defendant. I am sorry to bring you all in here. I am sorry for that,&rdquo; he said, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/trial-set-begin-case-man-allegedly-kill-trump\/story?id=125352319\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ABC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Prosecutors sought to remove 20 of the 60 potential jurors who appeared Monday. Another 60 are scheduled to appear Tuesday and 60 more on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Routh objected to one juror being removed &mdash; a woman who said felons deserve to have their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/video-blm-activist-sentenced-to-six-years-in-prison-for-illegally-registering-to-vote\/\" title=\"VIDEO: BLM Activist Sentenced to Six Years in Prison for Illegally Registering to Vote\">voting rights restored<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&ldquo;I would obviously like to keep this juror,&rdquo; Routh, who has a criminal record, said. &ldquo;I appreciate her thinking in all the questions. Restoring felon rights &mdash; I can certainly relate to that.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Cannon said the potential juror would remain for the time being, but indicated concern based on the juror&rsquo;s response on a questionnaire that she gets her news from &ldquo;television or my sugar momma.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Two jurors said they would be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/alleged-trump-assassin-ryan-routh-touts-direct-connection-thomas-matthew-crooks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sympathetic<\/a> to Routh. One said he did not believe in the justice system, and another said he understood Routh&rsquo;s actions. Both were removed for cause with no objection from Routh.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Routh was detained after a Sept. 15, 2024, incident in which a Secret Service agent spotted a gun barrel in the undergrowth at Trump&rsquo;s West Palm Beach golf club.
