But the object matters. Faith in what exactly?<\/p>\n<p>In April 2024 &mdash; four months before he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/need-see-third-iconic-photo-trump-campaign-captures-epic-moment-trump-rfk-jr-unite\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">allied<\/a> with now-President Donald Trump &mdash; now-Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was running as an independent presidential candidate.<\/p>\n<p>He appeared on HBO&rsquo;s &ldquo;Real Time with Bill Maher&rdquo; and delivered what any reasonable person would regard as a knockout blow to the host&rsquo;s pro-vaccine argument.<\/p>\n<p>Maher, however, would not concede defeat. It became even more relevant on Monday, when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-takes-issue-vaccine-companies-sudden-change-tune-want-answer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump<\/a> used his social media platform  to demand that &ldquo;Drug Companies justify the success of their various Covid Drugs.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, last week, the Trump administration fired Director Susan Monarez from the Centers for Disease Control. This prompted resignations from four other CDC officials.<\/p>\n<p>In short, the debate over COVID vaccines has taken center stage once again. And this time, there isn&rsquo;t a Biden administration around to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mark-zuckerberg-reveals-extreme-tactics-biden-admin-used-censor-facebook-included-screaming-cursing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">censor it<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, the Kennedy-Maher exchange reminds us of why this debate remains so maddening to skeptics of coronavirus vaccinations.<\/p>\n<p>In a clip posted to YouTube, Maher began by asking about Kennedy&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-email-reportedly-names-kamala-harris-others-as-key-contacts-for-joint-venture-with-china-energy-co\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Email Reportedly Names Kamala Harris, Others as Key Contacts for &#039;Joint Venture&#039; With China Energy Co.\">vice-presidential running mate<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/god-working-days-trump-took-office-rfk-jrs-running-mate-came-know-jesus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nicole Shanahan<\/a>. The host noted that Shanahan wanted to recall the Moderna vaccine, which Maher happened to have gotten.<\/p>\n<p>Kennedy responded by citing polls on the subject.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;There&rsquo;s 25 percent of Americans who believe that they know somebody who was killed by a COVID vaccine,&rdquo; Kennedy stated.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Killed?&rdquo; Maher queried.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Killed &mdash; 25 percent. Fifty-two percent of Americans believe the vaccines are causing injuries, including death,&rdquo; Kennedy continued.&nbsp;If nothing else, that amounts to a significant public-perception problem for the drug companies.<\/p>\n<p>Kennedy also <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >mentioned clinical trial studies<\/a> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/house-judiciary-says-pfizer-engaged-massive-scandal-regarding-covid-vaccine-trial-data\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pfizer<\/a> vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;People who got the vaccine had a 23 percent higher death rate from all causes at the end of that study,&rdquo; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Then came the remarkable exchange that ignited huge applause.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;But that could not be the disease itself?&rdquo; Maher asked.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;If it is, then the vaccine doesn&rsquo;t work, does it?&rdquo; Kennedy replied.<\/p>\n<p>The laughter and applause from the crowd practically drowned out the host&rsquo;s protests.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Well, no, no that&rsquo;s &hellip; not true at all,&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bill-maher-concedes-trumps-dominance-says-master-run-circles-around-democrats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maher<\/a> insisted, appearing annoyed at his own audience.<\/p>\n<p>The host then claimed that &ldquo;many people who would have died because they were not in good health&rdquo; (i.e. elderly and obese people) remain alive thanks to the vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>Another segment of the audience applauded for that claim.<\/p>\n<p>Readers may view the entire exchange in the YouTube video below.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LBP6P12oyzM?si=_uY36HaSvL6i3ufH\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the end, Maher spent so much time talking over Kennedy, that he wasn&rsquo;t able to respond to Maher&rsquo;s lives-saved claim. So ultimately, that&rsquo;s all it amounts to: a claim only.<\/p>\n<p>One must acknowledge, however, that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bill-maher-compares-woke-mob-enforcers-maos-cultural-revolution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maher<\/a> sometimes arrives at sound conclusions. To his credit, he does not slavishly carry water for the Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, effete liberals like Maher &mdash; whether they know it or not &mdash; tend to worship science.
